ALERT!!! LASSA FEVER HITS LAGOS

Lagos State Govt Officials Lass Fever has been in Lagos since January 9th, but was only discovered on January 17th. Although this is a nightmare situation given the notoriety of Lagos for environmental pollution with rat-laden neighbourhoods, and a chaotic population density, the state government authorities have encouraged residents to keep calm, assuring that they are doing everything possible to curtail the spread of the virus. The index patient, a 25-year old man, an undergraduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, is reported to have developed fever, sore throats, difficulty swallowing on arriving Lagos and was admitted at Ahmmadiyyah Hospital, Ojokoro, on Saturday January 9, for all of 6 days. Police, LASTMA and Gbagada Hospital Ambulance Abandon dying Man On 3rd Mainland Bridge-Witness (Photos)

Officers of the Nigerian police, soldiers, one LASTMA(Lagos State Traffic Management Agency) officer, and an ambulance belonging to the Gbagada General hospital on Tuesday evening refused to help a dying man found on the 3 rd mainland bridge in Lagos.  Although Nigerians are familiar with such unspeakable acts of nonchalance and disregard for life by members of the public service and security agencies, this particular incidence has given more publicity to the fate of helpless Nigerians in the care of heartless public officers - and drawn the ire of an increasing number of people on Social Media.  The testifier – who also supplied the photos – Ilsa Aida, a Lagos resident, on her way to church on Tuesday evening, stumbled on the motionless body of the unidentified man in the middle of the road – a highway.
